National Environmental Organizations

National Resources Defense Council.  NRDC combines the power of more than 3 million members and online activists with the expertise of some 700 scientists, lawyers, and other environmental specialists to confront the climate crisis, protect the planet's wildlife and wild places, and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. 

Virginia

Virginia Conservation Network.  Founded as the Conservation Council of Virginia in 1969, Virginia Conservation Network (VCN) began as a roundtable of major conservation groups and has grown to include over 150 Network Partners across the Commonwealth (click here to see a full list of Network Partners). VCN is committed to building a powerful, diverse, and highly-coordinated conservation movement focused on protecting our Commonwealth’s natural resources. 

Piedmont Environmental Council. The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) was founded in 1972 and has a mission to protect and restore the lands and waters of the Virginia Piedmont, while building stronger, more sustainable communities. Headquartered in Warrenton, VA, we have offices throughout a nine-county region that includes Albemarle, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties and the City of Charlottesville.

Goose Creek Association.  The Goose Creek Association is a registered, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with hundreds of members from Loudoun and Fauquier counties who share a determination to protect and preserve the natural resources, historic heritage and rural quality of life found in this beautiful part of Virginia. 

Citizens for Fauquier County.  Founded in 1968, Citizens for Fauquier County is a non-partisan, non-profit organization representing hundreds of individuals and families active in local conservation efforts.  Its mission is to preserve the natural, historic and agricultural resources of Fauquier County, and to protect the County’s unique quality of life through education and leadership.
